PODCAST REVIEW SHOW EXAMINES OVER 100 PODCASTS PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED FOR “POD-FADING.”
The internet radio show, Edgy Reviews from That Podcast Show, publishes an episode each week in which three publicly available podcasts are reviewed. Since December 6, 2007, 108 different podcast shows have been reviewed. Of those, an amazing 87% are still actively producing new content as of this date. While large podcast directories such as iTunes and Podcast Alley have not released data on the number of shows in their directories that pod-fade, or cease to produce new content, it is suspected that the percentage is quite high. Edgy Review’s high rate of reviewed shows that remain active is most likely the result of qualifications that must be met before a podcast will be reviewed on the show.
Atlanta, GA – July 23, 2008 - The 108th podcast reviewed on Edgy Reviews from That Podcast Show can be heard on episode 37, which was released on July 23. Listeners benefit by learning of podcasts that may be of interest to them and by finding out which shows to avoid. Listeners can also feel confident that podcasts reviewed will most likely continue to produce new shows. Either podcasters did not “get-rich-quick” like they had been told or become discouraged due to the lack of feedback. The reason we have so many podcasts that are still active is because we require the show to produce at least ten episodes before we commit to a review. Additionally, we hope the feedback we provide allows the independent podcaster to feel as though he is not alone.”

The internet radio show, Edgy Reviews from That Podcast Show, publishes an episode each week in which three publicly available podcasts are reviewed. The 25th episode was released this week bringing the total number of podcasts reviewed to 75. Podcasters are encouraged to submit their shows for review in future episodes.
Atlanta, GA - May 8, 2008 - The 25th episode of Edgy Reviews from That Podcast Show was released on May 6th. The podcasts reviewed each week are rated on a scale of one to five stars. Show listeners benefit by learning of other podcasts that may be of interest to them and by finding out which shows to avoid.
