Joe Gallagher and Ben Young are the British hosts of this comedic podcast. These two banter back and forth about events in their lives as well as odd news stories from around the world. There are a variety of humor elements employed in the show such as satire and “play on words.” They use musical fillers and sound effects to add to the show’s humor. The first 30 minutes of each episode are very entertaining. After that, however, appeal is lost (particularly on the episodes that last an hour). It is also extremely difficult for these two to stay on track with one line of thinking. These diversions are a source of their humor, but do get old after a while. Additionally, Joe tends to mumble, but Ben is quick to remind him to speak up. The Absolute Peach is an unusual name for a unique podcast that will surely entertain listeners who are appreciative of the style.

He is almost always joined by one visiting guest host or another who are equally as informed as he. dl.tv has a history that includes previous show hosts such as Patrick Norton and Robert Chang. Hosts Rian and Lewis take listeners through a brief description of a number of podcasts in this show. New content from Daily Splice is available numerous times throughout the week. Episodes during the week consist of Rian and Lewis reviewing podcasts, interviewing podcasters, and reporting news pertaining to the Podcasting industry. Each review episode lasts less than eight minutes, with five of those devoted to reviews. While the reviews are not very in-depth and ratings are ambiguous, listeners can find out about shows with topics that may interest them. Maybe more importantly, listeners find out about shows they may want to avoid. Sound effects and music enhance each episode as well. While Rian and Lewis tend to be quiet and a bit monotone, they regularly produce a podcast that promotes this form of media and helps people get connected.
