Josh Tyrangial hosts this podcast about all things entertainment, from TV shows to books. In each episode, Josh is joined by a critic from Time Magazine. For example, when the episode is about a theater actor, the cohost is a theater critic. After listening to a few shows it is clear Time Entertainment brings the tools and resources from their various publications to podcasting. Sound bites and trailers are also used in each episode. Time Entertainment Podcast has very entertaining guest to complement Josh. The sound quality per episode varied. Some episodes were well mixed and the vocals were leveled while others had background hums and the levels were unbalanced. This podcast is an excellent source for the latest information and gossip presented in a unique style.

Tanel and Tom Andry talk about many aspects of their marriage, from the importance of honesty to surviving potty training two year olds. The theme of the show is “Listen to your children”, which is heard on the outro of each podcast. OurFirstMarriage is unique. It pulls the curtain back so listeners can learn from a couple that have been married for seven years with two children. We are encouraged that a couple with children take the time and forge a podcast. It was fun learning about the Andry’s two children, who’s nicknames are Punkalicious and Captain Evil. These two say the funniest things and challenge Tom and Tanel to think on their feet. Unfortunately, Tom is the more dominant of the two which effects the chemistry of the hosts. The lack of an introduction explaining what the podcast is about left us very confused. It took us several episodes before we understood OurFirstMarriage’s purpose. OurFirstMarriage has a solid sound production giving a tone of professionalism to the podcast.

Joanne Greene hosts this tail-wagging show. The weekly podcast answers questions about all types of dogs and strives to advise the audience on all dog-related matters. Good Dog is an excellent resource for dog owners and those looking to be a dog owner. Each episode is packed full of information and includes Joanne interviewing well-informed and entertaining experts. Guests have included veterinarians, dog toy manufacturers, dog trainers, and many more. The interviews are recorded over the phone and the sound quality is very good. Joanne came across as very sharp and well educated but has a tendency to interrupt guest while talking. The variety of topics Good Dog offers is staggering. Good Dog is a well produced podcast that has a lot to offer listeners and those getting acquainted with podcasting.
