Delta Air Lines Flight Ops 411

Category: Business

Delta Air Lines Flight Ops 411 is unusual in regards to the podcasts that are usually submitted for review. Host and Delta pilot Robin Maiden uses a portable recorder to interview key people within Delta Air Lines for each episode. The show gives listeners a good peak behind the curtain at the inner workings of this airline. Pilots and others interested in aviation should enjoy the podcast. Much of the value and entertainment found in Delta Air Lines Flight Ops 411 is heavily dependent on the guest being interviewed. These people have included flight trainers, engineers, schedulers, and pilots. We applaud Robin Maiden and Delta Air Lines for producing the podcast.

Chrissy and Brian Show

Category: Comedy

Chrissy and Brian are very entertaining and skillful with great vocal tone variation. The enjoyment of the podcast is dependent upon the chemistry between Brian and Chrissy, which they most certainly have. Also, these two talk for an extended length of time in each episode and are still able to entertain listeners-no small feat. The show consists mostly of the hosts bantering as they loosely discuss current events and their lives. The Chrissy and Brian Show is remarkably consistent in distributing new episodes. On a more technical note, the podcast could use a smaller file size by decreasing the bit rate and employing mono. A talk-show podcast does not need to be encoded at 128 kps. This only results in a larger audio file making the download time for an episode taxing for those with slower Internet connections.

End Cast

Category: TV & Film

End Cast is the End of the Internet podcast according to hosts Steve Glass and Anthony Pagliari. The hosts are also the crew of Dead End Films, an independent film company. The “Dead End Films” influence on the show is never fully explained thus leading to some listener confusion. There is some structure to the show. Our favorite segment is Shot-gun news where hosts compete to find the funniest, grossest, most outrageous true news story. The hosts are frequently joined by several other guys with whom they have stayed friends through school, university, and marriage. Our advice though: beware of familiarity. The hosts know each other so well that at times they forget new listeners might not understand their inside jokes.
