Melody, Sarah, and Kimberly are hosts of The Office Alliance Podcast. The weekly podcast is dedicated to discussing the intricacies that make the comedic television series “The Office” so successful. In each episode, the hosts discuss the latest episode, share their favorite moments and theories, and announce the latest news about The Office and The Office Fandom . They make great use of transitional elements, such as music and short clips from the show, to keep episodes moving along. They put out new podcast episodes when The Office has new episodes, but are less consistent during summer hiatus and during last season’s writers’ strike. The audio quality is usually fairly good, but some shows have an echo that comes from not properly syncing multiple tracks or using microphones that don’t effectively reduce noise. Overall this is a great show for any fan of The Office.

That’s What She Said: The Office
Category: TV and Film
That’s What She Said is the long-running podcast about the NBC hit TV series “The Office.” Matt Sommer and Kevin Crossman are the well-spoken and clever hosts who provide the commentary and news relating to upcoming episodes and announcements regarding the cast. TWSS, the abbreviated name used by the podcast, offers strong opinions about the direction of “The Office” while providing a play-by-play of the most recent episode. We enjoyed the audio clips used to better emphasize the aspects of the related episode as well as the excellent audio quality. TWSS has a good formula for the show with sections such as Water Cooler, Clips, Plot Lines, Deleted Scenes, and Films. This is another great show for Office fans which could only be improved with a little more consistency.

Cue the Film is a movie review podcast that, on a standard episode, reviews a few movies based on a common theme. They also release special episodes called “Splices” in which one or more hosts will go in depth on a particular movie or movie series. Unfortunately, the hosts have a difficult time staying on topic. The show also suffers in the two major areas of audio quality and editing. Better microphones and more time spent editing out the long pauses and recording issues would go a long way towards improving the show. This would really allow the hosts’ charming personalities to shine through and make this live podcast head-and-shoulders above most.
