Expanded Lovemaking
Category: Health
Dr. Patti Taylor’s goal is to teach you about exquisite lovemaking in her podcast Expanded Lovemaking. Like many podcasts offered by Personal Life Media, this show is an interview-specific podcast. The quality of Expanded Lovemaking is dependent upon the guest featured in each episode. Both Patti and her guests use graphic terminology when describing sexual topics so this show is certainly for an adult audience. Patti is a quality interviewer who allows her guests to speak without continual interference. Interviewees are an eclectic mix that includes Dr. John Gray, shaman sexual healers, and authors just to name a few. Sound quality is a weakness. Patti and guests sound as if they are being recorded by a 3rd party service which results in a conference call sound. Overall, this show is educational and memorable.

Wicked Awesome Podcast
Category: TV and Film
The premise of Wicked Awesome Podcast is simple; hosts Robin and Jeremy discuss their lives, movies, and video games. Listeners are going to like these guys. The two hosts are relatable, amiable, infectious and refuse to take themselves too seriously. Robin is the movie enthusiast, and it’s enjoyable to listen to his excitement as he explains the most recent movies he has seen. Jeremy is the gamer who enjoys talking about the video games he loves and hates. They give detailed and informative reviews of their respective topics. Unfortunately, the thorn of Wicked Awesome Podcast is the sound quality. Listeners will need to turn up their volume knobs. Also, new content is irregular which no doubt hampers increased listenership. Despite the set backs, Robin and Jeremy are successful in keeping the podcast entertaining through their passion of media.

Minor Detail
Category: Comedy
Minor Detail hits the ground running at the start of each episode, and this pace rarely slows until the end. We loved the format of the show which is divided into sections such as “You Fail,” “Amy Winehouse Death Watch” and “News from 1942.” Listeners can expect a plethora of celebrity impersonations, hilarious accents, bouts of singing, and loud conversations. Minor Detail sets out to be fun and is successful. Host Tim has a quality broadcast voice with solid diction (when he is not drunk). Tim serves as the rudder for the podcast, but co-host John is the star of the show. His energy is infectious to the rest of the cast. A word of caution to the cast: Be careful of too many inside jokes. We, at times, felt left out. Also, a few episodes went too long leading to the hosts drinking too much; this resulted in slurred speech and empty conversations. If you are not easily offended and are in need of a good laugh, this show is for you.
