Omnipotent ChirpCast

Category: Comedy

Katie, Peter, Kaitlyn, and Timothy are a few of the hosts that fuel the energy and fun factor of Omnipotent ChirpCast. Shortened episodes called ChirpMini’s are included in the episode list along with brief video segments. Listeners learn about the happenings in the hosts’ lives and are sure to laugh. A lot of time is spent on music and “album art” for each episode. The variety of hosts add a dynamic presence but can also be a hindrance. The hosts frequently talk over each other making conversations difficult to follow. We would also suggest that hosts introduce themselves at the beginning of shows so listeners know who’s who.

Media Junkyard

Category: TV and Film

Welcome to the Junkyard. Chris and Rob are the hosts that capably entertain and guide throughout the show. Of note, Media Junkyard includes videos in many of their episodes. Listeners can expect to hear a variety of topics with well executed seg-ways and fantastic bumpers. Media Junkyard includes segments such as the Kitchen Sink, Technology for the everyday man (and woman), and television/movie reviews. We appreciate how Chris and Rob include many fellow podcasters in their episodes thereby creating a real sense of community. It is obvious that a lot of time is spent on each episode, and as a result, this show is very entertaining.

Business Success Tips

Category: Business-Careers

Initially, when we began listening to Business Success Tips, the Explicit tag and rowdy introduction made us question whether this was the correct show. We were expecting a strictly “down to business” podcast. Business Success Tips forgoes the formal “no non-sense” style of presentation allowing the podcast to be entertaining, relatable, and informative. This is quite unique and refreshing in this category of shows. Even with all the fun, listeners will hear well advised business plans and models that apply to both small and big businesses. The variety of hosts offer diverse perspectives regarding specialization in business topics. However, the large selection of hosts makes it difficult to identify each by name, and they often talk over one another. Another caveat for Business Success Tips is the poor sound production. Never-the-less, we encourage listeners to explore the podcast if they are looking for informative business tips and entertaining hosts to present the content.
