Arbitrary Talk
Category: Philosophy
The definition of arbitrary is “to be determined by chance, whim, or impulse, and not by necessity, reason, or principle.” This podcast is adeptly named. Hosts Rich, Asava, and Stibs answer random questions submitted by listeners. Listeners can also answer the questions sent in for future episodes. Arbitrary Talk has a fun and relaxed environment while being creatively informative. We particularly liked the episode that was “sponsored.” The hosts will say anything (within reason) throughout a show if sponsored to do so. Arbitrary Talk can become more memorable by coming up with even more creative ways to present their content.

Berton Beatle Bonanza
Category: Music
The podcast includes rare Beatles tracks, trivia, reviews and goes to great lengths to tell the story behind the songs being played. The host interprets many songs by explaining how they related to a time in history while dispelling the historic and current rumors surrounding the Beatles. There is little information we can provide about the podcast because there is not an introduction or explanation for the purpose of the show. Also, in episodes to which we listened, the host never provided his name or other vital information. Berton Beatle Bonanza offers little for the listener due to the lack of standard information, poor sound quality, and need for more editing.

Living Word Christian Astrology Podcast
Category: Religion and Spirituality
Living Word Christian Astrology Podcast is a 3-5 minute daily podcast that combines the current astrological transits with a conventional Christian devotional reading. The enthusiastic host Ryven has recently introduced an extended edition of the podcast that runs each week for about 50 minutes. We highly recommend listeners direct their attention first to the extended version first released March 16, 2009. Listeners need to be familiar with astrology and terms commonly associated with the study. Living Word Christian Astrology Podcast certainly has original subject matter. Ryvan has us interested and curious about where he plans to take the podcast next.
